Road Trip: California-Florida

I am extremely late with this post but better late then never!

Our lives changed with Mike getting a great Job opportunity all the way in Jacksonville, Florida! We packed up our goods and said our goodbyes. And decided to go on a cross country road trip to our new home in Neptune Beach, FL instead of flying. Not knowing how it would work out with 2 kids and 2 dogs! But we sure made the best of it!

Our travels began on October 28th, 2013 and ended on November 4th, 2013
All loaded up for our new adventure!
Thanks to some amazing family who helped
get us packed and our house nice and clean!

We made it from Yucaipa to Williams, AZ the first night. The next morning we visited the Grand Canyon, the place is amazing, and neither the Boys nor the Dogs fell in the Canyon ending our fears.

That afternoon we headed to Sedona, AZ for some more great vista

then pointed the SUV towards Albuquerque, NM for the night. The next day we headed to Santa Fe, NM for the best Tex-Mex we have had in recent years, then touched down in Roswell, NM for some close encounters.

The following morning we went to the Carlsbad Caverns to for an experience like no other 700 feet beneath the earth.

To make the experience as close to our home life as possible, we stopped that night in Ozona, TX to do a little Trick or Treating.  Lucas was Optimus Prime with a Seahawks cape for good measure; I went as Jessie & Ryker was Woody from the movie Toy Story.

The next morning we went for breakfast on the River Walk in San Antonio, TX followed by a tour of the Alamo. From there we visited a friend in Austin Texas, also stopping in to see the Texas State Capitol and The University of Texas.

We found ourselves waking up in Baton Rouge, LA the next day, November 2nd  This was Michaels Birthday, and what a better way than to spend his Birthday in New Orleans, LA!

As the sun started to set we left the French Quarter and headed to Biloxi, MS for dinner - then onto Pensacola, FL for the night.  On our final day we made the push through to Jacksonville then onto our new home town of Neptune Beach, Florida. No sooner than the cars were in the driveway and the moving trailer had been signed for, we headed 8 blocks to Atlantic Ocean and the boys started to enjoy their new home immediately!

Florida was a beautiful and a fun place to live! We enjoyed every second of this adventure! We made some amazing friends!

It's been fun but it's time for us to be off on another adventure! Moving our Family cross country again but flying this time off to Canada we go!
