Lucas Turns 5

I still remember the day we found out we were pregnant, we were definitely surprised! 5 years later Lucas still surprises us with the things he says and does! He has truely grown into a young man! He is so crafty, loving, adventurous, and just so independent! We are truely blessed to have him in our lives! Lucas we are so proud of everything you have done and achieved!

We had such a great day celebrating Lucas Bday at Disneyland but had so much fun sharing it with the Haskins!
Thanks again for making Lucas' day!

I feel like I have been planning for Lucas' Birthday Party for months now and can now say that Lucas' and Friends had a blast! Phew....! Lucas had told me he wanted to have a costume party then decided that he wanted to have a Star Wars Birthday Party! And of course I was super excited because I knew we could do some fun things at his party!

So, On September 22nd, 2012, we celebrated Lucas' 5th Birthday with friends!

Lucas' Light Saber Birthday Invitation
Made with: poster paper, black electric tape, buttons,
aluminum Duct tape and hot glue
spent $3 to make them

Instead of spending $15 on a already made Darth Vader pinata, I decided to
make Lucas' out of paper mache! Which of course cost us nothing!
Whoot, Whoot!

Our finished homemade Darth Vader Pinata!

I thouhgt it would be fun to make Jedi costumes for all the kids for Lucas' party!
Bought a king sheet with 3pillow cases at the thrift store for $7.99
What a bargain! and they turned out great!

The finished product!

For Lucas' party favors not only did they get a Jedi vest but they also get a home made Light saber! So much fun to make, but very time consuming!

Made with: pool noodles, and duct tape
Bought pool noodles from Leslie's Pool supplies for $2.39each
Bought 6 noodles and cut them in half to make 12 light sabers
then painted a box black

Printed out some Star Wars signs to glue onto the box

It wouldn't be a Star Wars Birthday party without Jedi Training! So, I also had Michael print out Certificates for all of our Jedi's!

Bought some black bags for our Booty
Mike also printed out Darth Vader and
I glued them on the bags

All finished and ready for our Jedi's!

Lucas is ready for his Party

Jedi Training time with Master Jedi Michael!
I made the kids an obstacle course for Michael to show them through! and he taught them some moves!

Birthday boy making it through the first obstacle

Making there way through the Jedi puzzle pieces

Through the jumper

Waiting for their next step

Receiving their light sabers

Learning some Jedi moves

Learning how to use their light sabers by hitting balloons

Lucas and his friends have passed their Jedi training!

Great Job Jedi's!

Master Jedi put them to the test and all Jedi's attacked him! lol....what a good sport!

Run, Master Jedi Michael! Run!!!

Ahhhh....

almost got him!

The Jedi's were determined to get their master

They took him down

and attacked!

But Master Michael did not give up! lol....

Lucas and his friends had way too much fun!

Playing in the Jumper Lucas got From his Grandma!
Thanks mom and manny for buying this for our boys!
They love it!

After they finished their Jedi Training and their attack on their Jedi Master they played in the water/pool!

Although, I worked hard on Lucas' pinata I failed to make it thick enough to hang up! It broke while it was hanging! Such a sad moment! But Mike made it better and made it work!

Mike held the pinata, while the kids beat it with their light sabers!

Mike crushed it open with his hands!

The kids still had lots of fun!

Cake time! Lucas loved his cake and cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Lucas!

The best part of the party was seeing Lucas smile the entire time! That's all that mattered to us was to make sure his 5th birthday was the best!  Everyone seemed to have had a fantastic time and left with smiles on their faces! Thanks to everyone who made it to Lucas' birthday!

Lucas we are so proud of you and look forward to watching you learn and grow!  You are doing such a fantastic job in Kindergarten! It's amazing that you know how to read already! We will always love you and be proud of anything you do! Happy Birthday sweet boy of ours!
